TV on the Radio’s Dear Science, (note the comma) has mauled my attention over the past week and a half. Perhaps the best album I have heard so far this year, this is TVOTR at their most sonically and musically sound.
Still plugging away at some track selection, I have narrowed down about 200 or so songs. I have to say that even I am surprised at some of the standouts. Notable selections include a Dan Deacon beaut, The Replacements, and a kick in the face from Down.
Baseball season has passed, thank you fantasy baseball for holding my interest til the playoffs. Anticipation is setting in; will creaky ratchet armed Rich Harden show, or the lights-out model? Watched Cole Hamels make the Brew Crew swing and miss at great change ups all day in game 1 of the Phillies and Brewers. Hamels is like Barry Zito, but good. Best time of year!
I made a very random appearance on a talk radio show this week, discussing the popularity and workings of fantasy baseball. Thanks to Hugh and Nikki from Thatradio.com’s Liquid Lunch. They have a podcast archive, I appeared on the last segment October 1st. Here is the link; ( http://thatradio.podhoster.com/ ). Maybe another sports radio appearance in the future. I will be adding a new domain name to this blog in the next week or so.
Stand by me my apprentice,
