Suit him up!

Suit him up!

I’ll be quick, I’m about to leave to catch some Raptors pre-season vs. CSKA Moscow.  Normally I wouldn’t watch pre-season anything, except Spring Training because of the nice weather.  I have to check out Jermaine O’Neal.  Holding on for hope that this deal makes more sense than the Olajuwon signing from a few years back.  O’Neal’s arrival is generating similar hype, while his knees are generating a similar rusting sound.  If “J.O.” can provide some scoring and pull in the majority of the rebounds then this might work out for the Raptors.  More important to the team’s success this season will be a breakout from Bargnani.  With O’Neal and Bosh battling in the paint for position, Bargnani should get some room on the perimeter.  At this point in his development I would take some solace in him being a jump-shooter.  Hell, it’s better than being Benoit Benjamin.

I will continue to post the occasional fantasy sports related topic, but I will be writing for a fantasy site in the near future on a more full-time basis.  Details to follow.  Also, I will be a regular contributor to “The StatsMan Show with Paul Bruno” every Tuesday from 10:00am-Noon on ThatChannel.com and ThatRadio.com.  You might catch me on-air from time to time.

In regards to my list of 100 songs, it is nearly completed.  I had to set some rules for selection as it was becoming way too comprehensive.  Most notably, only songs from 1980-2008 will be included.  I wasn’t alive outside of that time frame, apologies to the 1960′s and 1970′s.
